Some people are rejuvenated by spring rains and emerging flowers but autumn revitalizes me from the inside out. This year, I find that more true than ever as my back continues to heal and we make progress on the wind damages to our home and property. So warm the cider and bring out  the cinnamon rolls, apple pies and pumpkin bread. Bring it on! I can't wait for the turkey and trimmings and festivities coming up. By January, I'll be seeking out the quietest corner I can find. But for now, I'm so ready.

That goes for my Blessings Unlimited business, too. Things are happening. Momentum is moving upward as I continue to prioritize my time to do the most important things first (money making activities like scheduling gatherings). But today I'll take a glance at a few items that may not carry as much weight. They are still important to my business. Here are two on my list.
  
My signature

Create your signature and set it to default on every email sent. You are a businesswoman with great products and an amazing purpose. Include your name, and contact information plus a by-line to inspire. Email programs all have the same basic setup features. If you have trouble with this get some help from your the closest computer techy --- probably a son or daughter. 

Telephone Greeting
I've yet to change the recording to our land line though I've been with Blessings Unlimited two years now. It answers with the male generic "Hello. No one is at home to take your call. Please leave...".  Here's the reality. With every caller that hears this message I've missed one more opportunity to let someone know what I have to offer. Make the recording simple, not salesy. Your callers will appreciate hearing your voice.

That's it, short and simple, and gotta go for now. I'll be changing my recording today. Give me a call ~ and if I'm not here you'll get to hear it for yourself. Please leave a message. If I happen to answer, it will be great to hear your voice!

I Really Want to Say It, But I Won't

Summer Jam 2012 ROCKED and far surpassed my every expectation. Clear instruction, inspiration, integrity and fellowship filled the entire event and God's love sealed it all with His amazing presence. I met so many women of Godly excellence my mind whirs to piece it together. Grateful is the word that I repeated more than any other word this past weekend. It's still on my lips and in my heart!
So now what do we do with this download of info and blessing... I'm working on that but I really want to spread the gift of this amazing weekend with others who maybe didn't get to come. So hang out with me and I'll cover as much as I possibly can in the days to come. I've got pictures, ideas, tips and lots of advice - but if you're not interested in growing in any way, no problem. Just skip my blogs. :)
Welcome team and guests - I'm here to serve and will give this my best!

I'll start at the beginning. 
It's a wonderful privilege to serve as a Leader. There are responsibilities and most of those I'm still trying to learn and navigate. But the benefits are crazy! Set Leadership as part of the journey and I promise, you'll be blessed.
Leaders of Blessings Unlimited were invited to a special event prior to the conference - here's a photo of the welcome greeting we received. I'm not telling everything. I'll just say, "I am blessed". 

If you haven't checked out the new products you're missing out. "Tears in a Bottle" on the right is stunning and truly does speak of how much God cares. I picked up my stunning bottle and tears quickly flowed. I glanced around the room to gain a little composure and discovered my tears were not alone. God knows our deepest hurts and many sorrows and He's not lost track of a single one. He collects our falling tears of prayer and records them all. He calls it intercession as our faith reaches high to see His face. This is a must have, must carry and must give item for every gal, leader or not.

So today, you can check out all the new products and order new catalogs and products for a jump start on the best selling season of the year. Wherever you are, take a step or two to further your progress and business growth. You won't be disappointed - "inch by inch it's a cinch".

I'm such a Newbie & Tip for Attendance

Newbies Always Welcome

I am such a newbie girls. I'm a newbie at Direct Sales, I'm a newbie at Team Leadership, I'm a newbie at blog posts. It shows in the inconsistencies, (just look at the dates) but deep down the desires remain. I'll continue learning, disciplining myself and growing in all of these areas. I appreciate your patience in the meantime and promise to bring my best to the table. We can do this together and I'm excited about the journey. I'm thrilled you are probably also a newbie in some area of this business. Teachability - what an amazing word!

Here's a well-known, seldom followed secret to help attain top attended gatherings in our business. Partner with your hostess. Ask her to invite her guests personally and send you her guest list. Let her know you will send beautiful Reminder Postcards to every invitee. Then, she can call each guest again one or two days before the gathering to remind them again. This call gives her another opportunity to take an outside order if a guest is unable to attend. 

I balked at this little Guest Reminder Postcard service when I first joined Blessings Unlimited. I didn't want any more expenses to deduct from my profit and other tasks seemed more urgent than this when I considered the time factor. I was wrong - so wrong.

For two months now, my hostesses have emailed me their guest list within a few days of when they booked their gathering.

The benefits are simple. I know for a fact, my new hostess is already at work to be sure her gathering is well-attended and her special evening is on her mind. I am assured it won't be an evening with only one or two guests because her invitations were last minute desperation calls.

Plus, (but not all-inclusive)

    - My hostess is blessed with more attendees
    - Sales increase (postage expense is covered)
    - My hostess receives more free and 1/2 price items
    - More fun
    - Bookings increase as guests enjoy fellowship and see the interest for the products

Stay in the Batter's Box

One thing is for certain. You will never hit a single blessing much less a home run if you aren't in the batter's box and swinging. No matter what your calendar looks like, don't miss the training opportunities provided through Blessings Unlimited. You'll learn a little here and there, and one day in the future find yourself taking some of those steps that will create a working business. Honest.

Mark your calendar for the Wednesday training calls. If that's not a good time, save a place on your calendar that you will listen to the recorded call.

Sign up for either Consultant 101, or 201 now. The new training sessions begin February 27th. Mark your calendar for the time posted or a time to listen to the recording. Register through your Blessings consultant portal under the Resources, then Recorded Training tab. Fill in the designated form and email as instructed. 

You will love getting to know the hostesses of these calls! They are amazing and precious women who love the Lord.

Take Five

I joined Blessings Unlimited for several reasons, but most of all, for the opportunity it gives to encourage and empower women. That doesn't mean I'm not enjoying the other benefits like the extra income and getting to meet other women. It's big, isn't it? For the past 12 months I grappled with the big picture and where am I going with this. Finally, I completed one of the first steps proposed. To really set my goals and define the necessary actions to move my business forward. It's an investment that pays well. I hope you'll try it.

Studies show only 3% of the general population take time to see the goal and big picture. That leaves 97% who do not even know what the treasure is. How will they know when they find it? Or even where to dig in and work? Here are five steps to set your goals and establish your days for 2012. 


1. Ask the Lord for His wisdom. I was so tempted to tell you, "Grab a cup of coffee, or hot tea and relax for this step." But don't do that. This is the most important step of all and if you seek FIRST His kingdom all the other things will be given to you. It's found in Matthew 6:33. Read it in context. It takes care of what we eat, what we wear, our home and encourages us not to worry. Sounds like a great tradeoff to me, so do it now. Stop reading these words and take five minutes to lay your heart open before the King of the Universe and ask for His wisdom.

2. Write your goals down. The desires of your heart for your Blessings Unlimited business. Do you need additional income for your home and family? Are you wanting to touch lives and minister more? Is fellowship your chief goal? Or do you love the thrill of a new challenge all your own? Exactly how do you want your life to look in the next 12 months?

3. Now unlock the power of each goal by breaking it into the next 11 months. If you said I need  $11,000 additional income then divide that by the 11 remaining months of 2012 to realize what must be accomplished every single month to meet the goal. Don't stop there. If you need 1,000 a month, determine by your average sales just how many gatherings you will need each month. If you are reaching for Team Leader status, your goals will need to include sponsoring activities as well. Refuse to entertain any thought that says it's not possible.

4. With those monthly targets in mind, list the necessary simple daily activities it will take to set that goal on course. If you need bookings, how many and when will you make those calls for bookings? Chart it with names and phone numbers and make the calls. If you desire to reach a new team status, what qualifications will you meet and by what date? Ask the questions and write the answers.

5. Post it where you see it all the time. The rest is easy really. Target practice every single day, week, month and year. Your consistency will create a momentum that will carry your business forward no matter how small you begin.
